Avoca Fork Café is a self-service café, created to bring visitors on a unique farm to fork experience, the café will seat 200 including an outdoor seating terrace. Oh, and there will also be wood-fire pizza from the terrace’s own pizza van for a truly unforgettable visit.
Avoca’s managing director, Simon Pratt, said: “This is our most ambitious store to date. We’re spending more than €3 million to create a gorgeous experience for our customers and they won’t be disappointed.”
It will be will be Avoca’s 12th store and will be the largest in the group with 35,000 square feet of retail space and car parking for 300 cars. Some 80 jobs are being created.
It is the first major investment in Avoca by its new owners, the US Aramark empire, who reportedly paid €64 million for the Irish family-owned firm.Avoca Dunboyne is a unique experience. Avoca takes you on a journey through food, paying homage to the Farm to fork concept. Avoca are celebrating the origins of their food, growing produce in grow beds placed alongside the large outdoor seating terrace. Fork Café diners will be surrounded by growing vegetables, which are then harvested, used in our kitchens and served in our dishes. Avoca Dunboyne illustrates the handmade nature and transparency of Avoca’s food. This is made using the freshest ingredients, handmade by our expert chefs and without artificial flavours, colours and preservatives.
